The University of Iowa, its National Advanced Driving Simulator (NADS), and driving safety researchers Dan McGehee and Omar Ahmad are featured in a documentary, “Life Behind the Wheel: A Roadmap for Safety,” on the Discovery Channel.
McGehee is director of the UI Public Policy Center's Human Factors and Vehicle Safety Research Program and adjunct associate professor in the College of Engineering and College of Public Health; Ahmad is the operations director at the UI College of Engineering’s NADS.
The documentary, produced by the Discovery Channel and Discovery Education in partnership with Toyota, presents the comprehensive look at safe driving habits aired on Saturday, March 3, and will air again at 7 a.m. CDT Saturday, May 5, and on another date this fall.
