Thomas Schnell, associate professor of mechanical and industrial engineering and director of the Operator Performance Laboratory, Center for Computer-Aided Design, received a $247,077 grant from the US Department of Defense, Department of the Navy, Office of Naval Research for "Binocular helmet display for live virtual constructive (LVC) research."
