The National Advanced Driving Simulator (NADS), a unit of the UI Center for Computer-Aided Design, has published the June 2013 issue of "The Driver's Seat."

The issue features:
* Sue Chrysler, director of research, who has received a driver behavior modeling contract from Toyota
* Chris Schwarz, who received a US patent on an enhancement to an electronic stability control (ESC) by using digital map data
* The establishment of an advisory board for NADS
* NADS offering a configurable vehicle cab environment for studying human behavior in situations involving impairment, distraction and crash warning technologies
* Two new projects that NADS researchers will be working on, funded by MidAmerica Transportation Center
