Soura Dasgupta, professor of electrical and computer engineering and researcher at the UI Center for Computer-Aided Design, has been named chair of the Engineering Faculty Council for the 2014-2015 academic year.
One of the primary functions of the council is to assist and advise in the conduct of college business in long-range goals and objectives of the college, short-range college priority items, and allocation of faculty positions, funds, equipment, space, support personnel, and other resources within the college.
