Karim Abdel-Malek, professor of biomedical engineering and director of the UI Center for Computer-Aided Design and Virtual Soldier Research program, has been appointed to the Board of Trustees of the American University of Madaba (AUM) in Jordan (http://aum.edu.jo/en/).
The university was established in 2005 by the Vatican to serve the Middle East.
