The Virtual Soldier Research program is located within the Center for Computer-Aided Design on the University of Iowa campus. With over 5,000 sq ft of space, VSR has a number of affiliated labs:
- The Neuromuscular Biomechanics Laboratory (Dr. Laura Frey-Law, Director)
- The Optimal Design Laboratory (Dr.Jasbir Arora, Director)
- The Computational Mechanics Laboratory (Dr. Colby Swan, Director)
- The Biomechanics and Ergonomics Facility (Dr. Nicole Grosland, Director)
- The 3D Bio-Motion Research Lab (Dr. Salam Rahmatallah, Director)
