Melanie Laverman first began working at CCAD in 1990 when she was an undergraduate student at The University of Iowa. After receiving her B.A. in English, she worked at CCAD as a secretary for a couple years. She moved on to the Office of the Provost and then decided to return to school for an M.A. in professional journalism. As a graduate student, she worked for the Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) program and Health Science Relations. After receiving her master’s degree, she was a test development associate at ACT for two years before joining the National Advanced Driving Simulator as an editor in 1999. When NADS became part of CCAD in 2006, Melanie became the editor for CCAD as well.
