Nicole Becklinger is a junior at The University of Iowa with a double major in mechanical engineering and art and a minor in math. Her focus area in engineering is design. She has worked at the Operator Performance Laboratory since May 2006. She has been involved primarily in data analysis and the production of run cards, maps, and other graphics for studies. She also occasionally helps in the fabrication of apparatus for studies, such as Ethernet cables and miscellaneous brackets. Nicole is also president of the University of Iowa section of AIAA, secretary of ASME, and part of the National Space Grant Consortium base program.

Hobbies: Art, playing piano and other instruments, designing/making clothes, archery, basketball, martial arts, Egyptology, languages, sports, building model planes

Collections: Art supplies, books, instruments

People would be surprised to know that: I used to be a farmer before I came to Iowa. That and I can read a little bit of Egyptian hieroglyphics.

Craziest ambition: Completing a double major in mechanical engineering and art with a double minor in math and Japanese.
