Marv Rockhek is the Operator Performance Laboratory crew chief in charge of aircraft maintenance, installation, and construction of research payload infrastructure. Prior to working at the OPL, Marv worked for the City of Cedar Rapids, where he performed maintenance and repairs on the police helicopters from 1991 to 2002. Prior to that, he worked at Iowa City Flying Service from 1965 to 1991 as an aircraft mechanic. Marv served in the USAF as a B-52 aircraft engine mechanic from 1957 to 1962 at Castle AFB, California. He is certified as an Aircraft and Powerplant (A&P) mechanic with Inspection Authorization (IA). He received his certifications from Spartan School of Aeronautics.
