Greg Samuels is a student at The University of Iowa studying for his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering with a specialization in mechanical engineering design. He is an undergraduate researcher for the Operator Performance Laboratory (OPL). His research at OPL includes execution and data analysis for simulator-based helicopter display tests in brownout conditions, hardware and software troubleshooting and design for operator eye tracking in heavy construction equipment, and design upgrading for portable synthetic vision and flight simulators. Greg is also a peer adviser at the Hansen Center for Technical Communication (CTC) within The University of Iowa College of Engineering. His work at the CTC involves advising fellow engineering students with technical writing, document presentation, and communication. Greg is a member of two technical societies, the American Society for Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA).
