OPL AT The Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC)

This year, OPL again served the US Navy by showcasing the Quality of Training Effectiveness Assessment (QTEA) system at the center of the US Navy booth. Researchers from the Operator Performance Laboratory (OPL) showed technology that will revolutionize the way how aviators will train in the future. With QTEA, it will be possible to obtain real-time training effectiveness feedback on the basis of cognitive, physiological, flight technical, and mission specific metrics. This will allow flight instructors to quantify the progress that students are making and thus allow for targeted training scenarios.

OPL is featured on page 12 in an article titled, "Congressmen Get 'Hands On' with New Systems" in the Showdaily publication.

OPL's work was also mentioned in the Orlando Sentinel on December 8, 2008 in "Flight simulator tracks a pilot's brain-wave activity".
