CCAD to Host Open House in May

The Center for Computer-Aided Design will host an open house event on three days in three locations during May 2012:

Attendees will have an opportunity to meet the CCAD director, division directors, faculty members, and researchers to discuss their research and opportunities for engagement. Attendees will also have an opportunity to see and experience CCAD’s labs and facilities. Dr. Karim Abdel-Malek, director of CCAD and the Virtual Soldier Research division, will give a brief talk at 4:00 p.m. each day. Hors d’oeuvres will be offered during each event.

CCAD is a valuable resource for students, education, and industry. The open house is intended to raise awareness among area government executives, legislators, business leaders, and UI faculty and staff. Presenters will discuss CCAD’s portfolio of government and industry research partnerships and share how CCAD’s research creates jobs, saves money, and saves lives.

Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all University of Iowa sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in this program, please contact Deborah Hampton in advance at (319) 335-5722.
