CCAD Staff Receive Research Funding

Three research staff members at the Center for Computer-Aided Design recently received funding.

Steven Beck, research and development projects manager, received an $8,000 contract for avatar development.

Salam Rahmatalla, assistant professor of civil and environmental engineering, received a subcontract from Iowa State University for “Bridge damage detection: integration of structural health monitoring system concepts and components – a statewide collaboration.”

Andrew Veit, MiniSim program manager at the National Advanced Driving Simulator, received a contract from Hartford Hospital for MiniSim Research.
