The 2007 Driving Assessment Conference took place at the Skamania Lodge in Stevenson, WA, July 9-12.  The CSL was represented by John D. Lee, Monica N. Lees, Bobbie D. Seppelt, and Josh D. Hoffman.  Monica Lees presented "Change Blindness, Attention, and Driving Performance" co-authored by JonDavid Sparks, John D. Lee, and Matthew Rizzo.  Dan McGehee, Director of the Human Factors and Vehicle Safety Research Program at The University of Iowa Public Policy Center and CSL collaborator, presented "The Impact of an Event-Triggered Video Intervention on Rurual Teenage Driving," co-authored by Cher Carney, Mireille Raby, John D. Lee, and Michelle L. Reyes.  CSL alumnus Yi-Ching Lee, assistant professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, presented "The Effect of Voice Interaction on Drivers' Guidance of Attention," co-authored by John D. Lee and Linda Ng Boyle.  Additionally, Bobbie D. Seppelt presented to the Simulator Users Group a new Driving Wiki webpage for sharing information and collaboration across researchers and institutions.

Check out the new webpage for the Simulator Users Group, an international research group dedicated to solving key problems facing simulator users related to simulator graphics, audio, and movement; scenario design and validation; subject adaptation and comfort; selection of performance measures; and technical standards for reporting experimental set-up and results.
